Chapter 1~


The blue pegasus trotted through the dark forest, searching for berries.
"Mom will love these." She smiled, admiring the taste of the berries she was tasting.
"Maybe she will-" Lunar's ears pricked as she heard soft hoof-steps, walking near-by.
"What in the name of Equestria...? Who would be out here, this late at night?" She questioned, not including herself of coarse.
Lunar flew up and looked past the trees which blocked her way, which opened up to a path. She blinked and gasped as she saw Night Skye- Harmony's sister- walk by, her head hanging.
Lunar wasn't really surprized her aunt was out, but Night Skye seemed... a little different.
"Probably should go check it out..." She told her self, quietly flying after Night Skye.
A few minutes later, Lunar found herself at a tall, worn-out tower.
She stared at it in awe, but quickly looked back at Night Skye, who entered it, not bothering to look where she was going.
Lunar growled and slowly flew in.
The place was grey, with a big, brick steps, leading to an upper floor, with two pillars on each side.
Night Skye walked up onto the upper floor, where she was greeted by black, bloody armor, laying on the floor.
Lunar eyed the armor. It included a neckpiece, with a red gem incased in it. The headpiece looked much like Nightmare Moon's, but much more complex.
Night Skye Put everything on, leaving the headpiece for last.
Lunar somehow admired how her aunt looked in the armor... but she knew who it belonged to.
That horrid Night Slayer, who would give her terrible nightmares.
Lunar resisted the urge to stop Night Skye, but something held her back.
"Those ponies who taunted us will bathe in their own nightmares..." she whipered, before putting on the head piece.
Night Skye cackled as her mane and tail 'expanded' and started flowing rapidly.
Then, something amazing happened; two black wings sprouted from her sides, making bits of her skin which was once bare from wings, rip off.
Lunar's eyes widened.
This was very bad.
Night Skye's eyes glowed, and her armor shone in the moonlight.
"I have to tell mom! Night Slayer is back!" she whispered. She quietly bolted out of the tower, heading for Canterlot.
Night Slayer hissed and looked out the window, spotting Lunar. She bared her fangs, "My next dream to shatter... and guard..." Her voice was deeper than normal, and seemed to echo no matter where she was.
She flew up and flew after Lunar, getting closer, and closer until she was a tail's length away from Lunar.
"NO!" Lunar screamed, beats of sweat forming on her forehead.
"YOUR DREAM IS MINE!" spat Night Slayer, her dark magic pulling back Lunar.
Lunar bit her lip as she struggled to keep in the air, but Night Slayer's magic was to strong.
"M-mom will defeat you!" Lunar sputtered.
Night Slayer chuckled and her dark magic shot through Lunar's body.
"Ah..." Night Slayer breathed. "Your dreams are strong... and good enough to ruin!"
Lunar whimpered as all the dreams she has ever thought of and wanted slowly faded away from her memory.
Night slayer licked her lips and released Lunar from her dark magic.
Lunar closed her eyes and hung her head.
"My guard, you will help me..." Night Slayer whispered, grinning wildly.
Lunar looked up at Night Slayer, her eyes red. She was much different now. She wore black armour, with silver rims at the end of the neckpiece she wore. "Yes Night Slayer." She replied, her voice sounded scratchy
Night Slayer grinned, "Perfect. you are a strong one my dear... too bad you will most likely get killed when Harmony finds out, unless..." an evil thought sparked in
Night Slayers mind. "Unless Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis helps me... ahhh yes!"
Lunar nodded, "We shall thrive, Night slayer. But the elements-"
"THE ELEMENTS!" Night slayer hissed, pawing at the ground, which looked now black wherever she stepped. "Those things defeated me once, but they won't again! I must... DESTROY THEM!"
"But they are protected very well. Harmony didn't even let ME in." Lunar reminded.
Night slayer growled, "Must you bring such negative though Lunar?!"
Lunar backed away, "I am sorry, Night Slayer."
"I just need more dreams to ruin to get stronger, then I shall bring back Nightmare and Chrysalis and all of their guards." Night Slayer flew up and grinned, "Then I shall rule Equestria!"
Lunar nodded and looked back to the mountain where the Canterlot Castle lay. This was the new Lunar.
'Harmony is going to fall under the protection of equestria.' Lunar thought grimly.
'She WILL perish.'
